ABSTRACT

It is a study that is characterized as action research and reflects on the importance of instructional design in the pedagogical work of higher education teachers, based on the authors’ experiences in the management, planning and teaching of courses and disciplines in the distance education modality/ EAD. It has as a reference the assumptions of digital education by Moreira and Schlemmer (2020) and shows the conceptions of instructional design (Filatro, 2008) that can be worked on in distance education courses, whose solutions enhance the association of knowledge between teachers, designers and students and highlights the teacher’s role in the construction of instructional design models in EaD. The reflections undertaken begin with the concepts of digital education, because they bring the essential foundations for the analyses. Next, the different types of instructional design and their functions are presented, highlighting the actions taken to build disciplines and materials for the courses offered by the Distance Education Center of the State University of the Midwest – Unicentro and pointing out Prospects for joint action between the nominated actors and other professionals in the area of education and technology to highlight the need for teacher training for the digital age.
