O que são ambientes de aprendizagem imersivos? Como é que atualmente se tira partido dos ambientes imersivos para a aprendizagem? Responde-se a estas perguntas através da teoria da imersão e das áreas de investigação publicada.
ABSTRACT |
What are immersive learning environments? How does one currently employ immersive environments for learning? These questions are answered through immersion theory and the fields of published research, with consequences extracted as a proposal for interpreting and planning immersive learning approaches. Using a set of sample cases, the proposal is demonstrated, and in conclusion challenges for future research in the field are presented.
O que são ambientes de aprendizagem imersivos? Como é que atualmente se tira partido dos ambientes imersivos para a aprendizagem? Responde-se a estas perguntas através da teoria da imersão e das áreas de investigação publicada, extraindo consequências enquanto proposta para interpretar e planear abordagens de aprendizagem imersiva. Através de um conjunto de casos de exemplo, demonstra-se essa proposta, concluindo com desafios para a investigação futura na área.

Leonel Morgado is Associate Professor with Habilitation at Universidade Aberta, a public e-learning university, lecturing on research methods, programming, and immersive learning, a senior researcher at INESC TEC, and Vice-President for Scientific Quality of the Immersive Learning Research Network. Researching immersive learning since 2000, he authored over 200 papers. Pre-academic: MSOffice 97 terminologist, IBM/Lotus language quality consultant, manager of teams for Web development, software deployment, digital divide in rural villages, and business manager of hardware sales.
